Yes this is the 4th of July and I am a little behind in the blogging world:)!! I have a million pictures and not enough time to do anything with them I will try to do a few more post so maybe I can catch up, I feel like my life lately has been a big catch up......

Our Trip to Tampa Florida was a Blast! We went to Busch Gardens and rode the craziest roller coasters We have ever been on, went to all the pre Superbowl stuff, and then we went to the Superbowl. We met up with our Friends Brady and Kim (I think he is the biggest Steeler Fan I have met) and went to dinner with them and got to hang with them before the big game. What a Game I think that was the most intense thing we have ever been to, We had the greatest seats on the 20 yard line four rows from the field, I think it made it even crazier. I am so thankful they won.

Although it was record freezing temperatures Our Trip to Chicago Was an absolute blast! We went to Oprah, did some Serious Shopping, had some real good belly laughs, and ate some great Food! We even found Oprah's favorite cupcake at Mandy B's. I am still trying to recover.

Brian and 3 of my Friends Husbands for Christmas; gave us A girls weekend getaway to Chicago, we are leaving in the morning and can't wait for a weekend of laughter!! We are going to see Oprah on Tuesday Jan. 13 so look for us!:)

Amanda and I decided to take the kids to JuMpIn JaCkS we were only there for 2 hours but we were exhausted by the time we left! We got a WORK OUT, a few raspberries on the elbows(hence slipping down the slides holding Gracie) Ha , and 4 sleeping kids for the ride home! It was a Hilarious Day!

OK I know I have blogged a ton of runs this year but this one has made it to my all time TOP 3 Favorite Runs. Yesterday I had the opportunity to run my first race ever with my one and only brother I have to give him a HUGE shout out!! Lance started running a few months ago and decided last week to join me on the snow canyon 1/2 marathon I can't even explain how excited I was. His goal was to finish under 2 Hours and we did it by 5 minutes and he finished so strong. We stuck together through the entire course and had a blast! Lance your amazing way to bust out your first race ever how amazing that it was a 1/2 marathon!!!!!

Its been almost 3 weeks since the St George Marathon so I think its about time that I update, I also got a e-mail from Jennie telling me to get back into blogging! Thanks girl, your the greatest! I have to admit there has been a lot going on in my life lately and as a mother its hard to find time to even sit down at the computer and take that time for yourself. (As you all know) After the Logan Marathon my Camera decided to break down on us (another reason for not updating) so I have put in my order for what I want for Christmas! Ha Ha

The marathon ended up being one of the hardest races I have ever ran. We woke up that morning of October 4Th excited and feeling ready until we walked outside to load up in the 15 passenger van and felt the first drops of rainfall, I thought no way it only rains in St George for a little bit so it will clear up. I was wrong! The weather conditions that day were wet, wet and soaking wet. I figured its OK at least I have trained well for this the weather is not going to get me down, until about mile 9 when my legs started cramping up on me (hence the marathon I ran 2 weeks before) and I was getting pretty dang cold, I knew it was going to be a long long run. I had to mentally get my goal time out of my head and just focus on picking up my soaking wet, heavy running shoes and just try to finish. At snow canyon I even thought if I see my sisters Shannon and Lori I will probably just get off the course, I was that miserable, its a good thing I didn't see them or I would still be mad at myself for quiting. Well, I ended up catching up to my friend Amanda who I have trained with all year at about mile 20 and we ended up finishing at 4hrs 6min It was my slowest finishing time but I am just happy I did it, 2 marathons in 2 weeks I am just going to be proud of that!! Good Job to all those who finished!!

OK here are the dreaded pics for the Logan Marathon! It was such a beautiful course the fall leaves coming out of the canyon were amazing, we ran along side of a river for alot of the beginning, I really didn't know what to expect since this was my first Logan race but it definitely did not feel like we were running downhill out of a canyon! The first 19 miles actually felt great and I was at a good time right on for my qualifying time under 3hrs 40min but then we hit the 6 miles into the neighborhoods and it was miserable!!! It was constant zig-zaging up and down blocks trying to get the full 26.2 miles in, who thought of that idea?!! Anyways I will end on a positive note I finished at 3hrs 54min slower than my last years time but I have a chance to redeem myself next week at the St George marathon, I can't believe I am saying this but I can't wait to run again I am not Satisfied!

What is eating my flowers??! The kids and I were out watering the flower pots the other night and found a big ole snail/slug whatever you want to call it in our flowers, gross right, well my kids loved it! Daxton kept it for a few days and called it his pet (since we don't have one and he wants one really bad) I threw my flowers away because the slugs were having a feast on my flowers and I couldn't nurse them back. Throwing the flowers out really made me feel like summer is over :(

Training for My up coming Marathon's, I love to do a few Half's (13.1 miles) for race training! This year I did Bryce Canyon 1/2 Marathon and the Hobblecreek 1/2 Marathon. The hobblecreek I had the chance to Beat my time, finishing in the top 100. Although when I run a half I always wonder how I am going to run a full marathon, I can't believe how mental running is. My Logan Marathon is coming up in 3 weeks and I had a friend who transfered her number for the St. George Marathon into my name so Yes I will be running 2 marathons in 2 weeks!!! I really can't wait.

Camping

Our yearly trip to Beaver Mountain!! The Styler Family has started a really fun tradition for our family and friends. The Stylers go up to Beaver Mtn for a week and camp and the rest of us come and go as we can, it really depends on everyones schedules but so far we have all been able to go for at least a few days out of the week. This was my first year to go up with our new trailer and I have to say it made a huge difference to have somewhere to sleep and bathe the kids, the kids and I actually stayed for 6 days this year and we also had the opportunity to take my Nephew Russell Nakken with us for the week. (it was his first time camping and he said he loved it!) Brian had to go back and forth to work but it was still nice to have him there. Thank you Stylers for starting this great week long tradition for us!!!

Our entire camp packed a lunch and went on a big 4-wheeler ride we ended at this beautiful meadow to have lunch. The kids played in the water and fished.

We found bear tracks and a half eaten Beaver down by one of the lakes the kids thought that was pretty cool. They were only cub tracks that is Daxton's little hand next to the bear track.

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!

Another 4th in Delta! The kids have a blast, Daxton loved hanging out with his cousins, helping with Gracie and getting a huge bag of CANDY! I threw in a picture of my cute sister Shannon's family she just had baby Carter 3 Weeks before the holiday, you go girl! And then sad little Maddie who fell off the playset the night before the parade I got a great shot of her black eye. After the parade we all went to The Delta Res I haven't been there in years it was soooo fun!!

We took the Lunt's with us to Lake Powell this year and it was a great way to start our summer!! I love everything about Lake Powell it has been a tradition that our little family has done since I can remember. We try to go as much as we can and love to have our cute friends come along. The Frog Pond

My mom, Lance, Margo and the kids came to our house for the weekend and we had a blast! While I was in my salon doing the girls hair lance took the boys out on our Rino for a tour of all the 4-wheeler trails behind our house. He was gone for an hour and we were starting to wonder what happened, until he showed up with a cooler clear full of Pollywogs!!! He was laughing because he new exactly what he started, he had immediately given us about 20 pets to take care of. I never did get a picture of him with the Pollywogs, but he has started an summer event in my neighborhood. This pond that he has found has been a hit for alot of the kids some have compared it to Disneyworld. We ended up taking the Pollywogs back and discovered they were all turning into frogs so now I have a backyard full of little bitty frogs, daxton has set them loose because he said they asked him if they could get out of the bucket and play! (who knows where they are now) Catching all of these frogs has sure taken me back to growing up in the good ole country!! Thank you Lance!

Marathon Drama

I was going to make it a lucky number 3 and run the St George marathon again this year but me and a few women in my running group didn't make the cut. Its a lottery marathon and they only take 7,000 people and there were 10,500 that registered this year! Its been kind of a bummer but to have a goal and run a marathon this year me, amanda Giles and Jenn Boyer signed up for the top of Utah (Logan) Marathon. It will be a good change. The training has got me completely exhausted we are training a lot harder this year and I am going to use it as an excuse as why I haven't updated my blog for so long!! Its not a good excuse, but it seems like as soon as I get my kids settled down I crash also! The 5 O'clock runs every morning sure catch up!

Ashtyn and Daxton they are hilarious!

Daxton loves to play with his friends! Most of them are girls, and they really have the cutest friendships. This is his Double Date with Jaci and Quincey they had their own little dinner and a movie date downstairs. (with a few extra guests baby dolls) Its a good thing Daxton is all BOY!! He just goes along with whatever the girls are doing, He is learning young on how to be a great husband.

Brian and I just returned to Kauai last week, its the same Island the we went to for our honeymoon 6 years ago! It was so much fun going down memory lane and also making some new memories. We love to go on vacation together I finally get a chance to have Brian all to myself it seems like he is always working, so its our time to get caught up! I am always telling Brian "I love Vacation Brian he is so much fun!" The hardest part about vacations is coming home, I know I won't have his undivided attention anymore and we are all back to reality, Laundry, kids, dinner, cleaning you know the everyday grind! Yuck!

We did some really fun things on our vacation I think you try to make up for everything you can't really do when you have the kids, and we really tried to fit it all in! We went Scuba Diving for the first time and fell in love with it! We saw everything but a shark which we were thankful for!!

And of course we had to try the zipline. It was so amazing!! There were 7 different ziplines we went on and one of them being the 2nd longest in the country. CrAzY! We soared over the top of trees in the Kauai Jungle it was one of our funnest experiences on our vacation.
